Our History
GoColorYourWorld.org was originally launched in December of 2022. The gorgeous year we had inspired us to share our experience of beauty and joy in the natural world, while promoting environmental awareness and encouraging gardening initiatives that foster nature appreciation.
Our Mission
Our mission is to spread the beauty of nature through these colorful flowers, specifically zinnias, which are native to Texas and thrive in full sun without wilting, unlike many other plants in the region. We also promote environmental awareness by handing out seed packets at schools and at the Farmers Market at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, Texas, on Sundays. Our goal is for everyone to experience the cheerfulness and beauty of nature, engage in gardening, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the environment.

My name is Lyla Hellmund, and I'm here to help you Go Color Your World! I've always had a deep appreciation for nature, which began when I started gardening with my mom and grandmother at the age of three. This experience fueled my passion for environmental awareness, leading me to help start this non-profit. Through our gardening initiatives, I aim to show everyone how easy it is to create beauty in everyday life while supporting the environment and its essential pollinators like bees and butterflies.

I'm Sophia Yahin, and I want everyone to get involved in nature! I've helped in expanding this non-profit to do my part in spreading the word about how you can make an impact on environmental awareness, no matter how small, and support the environment. It's not that hard to make a difference, even if it's just participating in gardening initiatives like throwing some seeds out in your yard. My hope is that eventually everyone realizes how anyone can make a difference.
